How can I show my boyfriend I appreciate him?
Ok yesterday my boyfriend almost broke up with me. He agreed to give it another go on the grounds that we have a break this week and then we work through our problems together. I'm going through allot on my own right now so this on top of it is not helping me. I told him I would go to counselling to sort through my problems to try and stop taking it all out on him and to stop it making us argue.
But one of the things he said was that he doesn't feel appreciated. But I do appreciate him. He does so much for me and puts up with so much. I hate that he feels this way.
But I have no clue how to show him I appreciate him. Any suggestions?

Have you ever heard of the 5 love languages? It is kind of an old people thing, but I read a book about them last year (I'm 19) and it really changed my view on helping others feel loved. I would encourage both of you to take a quiz to determine which ones are your primary one or two. Here is a link to the quiz: http://www.5lovelanguages.com/assessments/personal... treat him the way he deserves. be spontaneous and make him breakfast one day maybe...ask him what he feels like doing, make it about u both and not just u. try to talk to friends and family about any problems u have instead of burdening him..show him that he means the world to u and that he's irreplaceable...since he thinks ur taking him forgranted, show him ur not. put that extra effort into amking him happy and show him that this is the way it's gna be from now on
