Wireless Festival 2012?

I want to go to the wireless festival (Rihanna) this year with my friends but none of us have been before. So I don't know what tickets to get cause on the tickets sites some are more expensive than others so does this mean we'll be standing closer if we buy expensive tickets or do we have to get there early to stand closer. Also how early do you reckon we should get there? Thanks in advance :)

Wireless is a festival - which means there is no seating or specific place you have to stand. If there is tickets for sale that are more expensive then it is either a person trying to scam you, or a site asking you to pay a bit more to cover their costs for providing you with the service. The only way a ticket would be extremely expensive but still genuine, is if it is a VIP ticket. This would be very obvious if it is because it would clearly say it and tell you all the extras that come with it. This could be priced at anything from £80 - over £100 per ticket.

At Wireless the only ways to get to the front would be to either there early, before the gates open, an go to the front and stay at the front until your headline act (in your case Rihanna) comes on stage. OR push your way to the front. I would advise the first one since the second one doesn't always work in your favour and you may irritate the people around you by pushing.

If you want to be at the front, then I advise you to get to the gates before the opening time at 12 noon (could be up to an hour before)

I went to Wireless back in 2010 when Jay Z was headlining and my friends and I got there at 12.30 and there was a massive queue outside. Then when we got in, there already a huge crowd around the main stage. I would advise at this point to you that you go to other stages (to see other artists) till the act on the main stage has finished. Then the crowd will die down and you can go to the front. This year I'm going to Wireless (Drake) and I'm planning to get there for 10, to be at the front of the queue. My ticket for Drake was the standard £55 on top of the posting charge of £3 something.

I hope I've answered your question and hope you have a great there, it will be intense!

P.S. watch out for drunk people there throwing beer bottles in the air !
