How do I defeat Alduin!?

I'm playing Skyrim and I've gotten to the final part, I've cleared the mist and now I'm trying to kill Alduin with 3 other people in that weird world but i'm not doing any damage with my bow so does it just take a super long time? Or is there some other way I'm suppose to kill him?

    I got in close with a two handed sword when he was on the ground.

    If you are not using dragonrend, use it. If you are, then yes you need to continue to try to get stronger first

    Spam Dragonrend and keep attacking him.

    I just said " I'm goin' in!" and attacked him with my sword. Use health potions if you do that though, good luck.
