How to I get him to lower on price of truck?

Found a dealer that has a truck that I want. The advertised price is 27,000. Now the truck does blue book for a little more. But highball for trade in is only 25,000. I simply can't justify paying more for a truck than I can get out of it right off the go. What do you guys think would be a good offer, that they would take?

Update:

@Rob I take it your'e one of these dealers. I'm not against them making a profit. But I am against them making an obscene profit to the point that it's not a deal for me.

Well then, you will not buy a truck. The dealership took it in on trade for 1 reason...to make a profit!

If everyone had your thinking, no one would buy a car/truck...EVER!

Stupid question. Go in and offer 25 and see what they say. I bet they kick you out on your a$$...

in no way, ever, lease something from U-Haul-- previous kit, poorly inspected, poorly experienced workers. unquestionably a nightmare waiting to ensue. i've got had solid good fortune with Ryder/Penske, however the main suitable ever replaced into value selection. The truck in straightforward terms had sixteen,000 miles in it, it replaced into clean, and ran extremely nicely. there replaced into no governor on the accelerator, the two. The Ryder/Penske truck had one that did no longer enable the truck to exceed sixty 4 mph; we went seventy 5 in the fee selection truck.
