What are good upgrades for the X7 Phenom?

Avoid all cyclone upgrades, not only will you never see any difference but they often cause problems down the road. We rent over 100 A-5s at our paintball park and I can tell you the cyclone feed needs no upgrades no matter what scrubs like Sparky says.

The best upgrades for the phenom are going to be a good barrel or barrel set and a HPA tank. Most tippmann internal upgrades a gimmicks and you will see no real difference.

Make it an electronic trigger, cost between 100 and 200 depending on what one u buy.

The cyclone feed upgrades made by techt work great. Makes it cycle smoother, faster, and more efficient. Just the gears, rod, and quick exhaust tube all together runs about 80 if u buy it all together but sometimes I see it at 120. Look on ebay u can normally get a good price for it.

Another cyclone feed upgrade is softer paddles, I used this on mine it helped a lot with breaks, once I had the full techt upgrades and paddles I never had breaks from the feeder. Paddles can cost as lil as 10 on ebay for offbrand. they all pretty much work the same.

Only other upgrade I would say to consider is a new barrel, something like a cp, jt ceramic, empire or proto. All are good barrels ranging from 40 to 80. If u want to spend more get a barrel kit like a freak, ifit, python, or empire. But a good quality barrel will normally work fine, no longer then 16 and no shorter then12, a bore of .685 is about average bore for the oaint being made now in days.

You can upgrade the cyclone feed paddles to softer ones, so it's gentler on paint, but only if you experience ball breaks in there. There are some other performance upgrades. Check out TippmannParts.com.
