Don't get mad at your friend. She was trying to spare your feelings. If they are wrong for each other then they will break up anyway but if they are right then you cant do anything about it. I am gonna tell you right now that you are going to get hurt. It is really impossible to get over someone.

If he goes out with her because she is popular then that guy is a tool, don't bother. But talk to your friend and tell her how you feel. Good luck :)
