I just get irritated when people look at me and start talking, i appologize cause i didn't hear them and there rude, scowl and point to there ear. Need a device that kills cell phone signals within a 20 foot radius of me. May be a lot of angry people around me then though.

I don't think its rude in general to talk on cell phones. Although there definitely are times when its rude or inappropriate. For example, I think its so rude and ridiculous when people walk through public places like the store, park, mall etc. having a loud phone conversation, that's annoying. Its like not everyone and their mother wants to hear those people's personal conversations lol. EDIT: But having a law to keep people from being rude or slightly annoying would be ridiculous, and overly controlling. I don't want the government to have that much control over me or anyone for that matter. God forbid I have a really important phone call and picked up my phone and offended the cashier who's ringing up my items, then Im fined for it because there was a "don't be inconsiderate with you cell phone" law.

Some people are addicted to communication. Without their computers and mobile phones, they become lost and insecure. To avoid this, I go camping in the most remote areas that I can find, turning my mobile phone on only when I fell that I need it (which is nearly never). As far as laws go, the only ones that I can think of are those concerning their use while driving or on a plane.

It is sad that people have to be available for phone communication all the time. I prefer to have a set time to take and make calls. When I am with a friend and they say' excuse me I have to take this' and then I sit and wait for them to get off the phone, it registers negatively on me to the point where I no longer have as much respect for them. In addition, people who walk down the street talking on the phone risk being robbed of it in the city of SF

I have no idea what your added details have to do with your question, but yes. There are times when it's rude. Such as when you are a cashier and people are talking on their phone while you need to speak to them as they go through the line. We are trained to look them in the eye and greet them which is impossible to do when they rudely ignore you and treat you as a means to an end just to pay for their stuff.

I don't think its rude to talk on a cell phone but it is when your paying the cashier or ordering but other then that its pretty much okay to have a conversation on the phone.

Because of people just having to have a computer to go that can act like a phone. Plus guess what?

  • This is a stupid question, what do you propose, that mobile phones are banned in public? This is what mobile phones are for, so people can be contacted when they are out and about....
