Does Nintendo DSi can connect to public wifi hotspots?

I used have a 3DS, which I lost, and that I could connect to McDonald's (in Canada) WiFi. I was wondering does the DSi connect to WiFi the same as the 3DS? Like, when I select the McDonald's wifi and open the web browser to accept the terms and agreement?

    Yes, it can. I used my DSi at places such as McDounalds, and it works. It really depends on how close you are to that access point.

    i was able to connect to a hotels so i dont see why not

    it can if the connection type is compatible (it isnt always)
