balboa park- museums, restaurants, and the san diego zoo is near by.
Old Town- a historic park which has a haunted house, and neat shops
Point Loma Tide pools
Be sure to bring/get your passport you can always travel to Tijuana Mexico fun place to visit in from 10am-2pm.
Gaslamp- an area in downtown with plenty of restaurants (price range 10-and up they are not cheap) you can park at the Westfield horton plaza mall for (i think 3hrs free) make sure to get your ticket validated there are kiosk in the mall to get it validated.

The person on top had a really good answer. There's also the world famous sea world and if you have kids, there's legoland also.
