Which to get: Diablo 3 or Skyrim?

Well Skyrim is a fun game, and Diablo 3 isn't even out yet. Its difficult to tell. There are some rumors about the release date of Diablo 3. There is news at G4tv.

it's your preference. Personally, Skyrim is fun, but it loses replay value quickly because you are always by yourself, not social interaction. Diablo 3 will be very social and have a higher replay value. I'm guessing even the biggest skyrim fans get bored after a few playthroughs. Diablo 2 was made well over a decade ago and is still insanely popular and fun to play, so that'll give you some perspective on which game you'll be playing 6 months from the release.

Best guess for a release date is between april 1 and june 30 of this year. Anything more specific than that is a guess. Blizzard said they will be making "an exciting announcement about diablo 3 in the upcoming weeks". When this announcement will be no one knows, but it sounds like we'll have a release date known within 3 weeks. There is speculation that diablo 3 might make the announcement the the CeBIT show that runs march 6-10, but blizzard never said if they would, just that diablo 3 will be playable at that show.

Skyrim. Through and through. It is much longer, has a better story, has better gameplay, and will keep interest substantially longer. I dont personally know a person that was bored of Skyrim in a week.

I would definitly get Skyrim because there's so many ways to play it and so many different things you can do.
