If some people object to vegetarians/vegans eating living things?

because they have 'feeling' too, they they obviously object to eating anything with feelings. As they can't eat animals and plants, as both have feelings, then what, exactly, do THEY eat?

Update:

Cameron: I don't think plants have feeling, but I'm curious about a couple of posts earlier on today asking why vegetarians eat plants as they have feelings. Because if they object to us eating them because plants have feelings, and animals also have feelings, then I'm wondering (since we're not supposed to eat anything with feelings) what the hell we ARE supposed to eat. And since they are objecting to eating anything with feelings I'd like to know what THEY eat, or is it just vegetarians that are not supposed to eat anything with feelings, while they're not objecting to omnivores eating anything with feelings. I do apologise if it wasn't clear.

That leaves us with rocks and dust. When people ask those questions it is a deliberate misinterpretation of vegetarian and vegan ideals to gain oneupmanship on people they don't agree with. I always think they must be about 8 years old, mentally and emotionally.

I don't think anyone objects to anything vegetarians eat. I choose not to eat but respect other people's wishes to eat what they choose. What people don't like is vegetarians banging on about their own views on eating meat etc. I keep my feelings about eating animals to myself unless invited to share my opinion when I make it clear it is just my opinion.

we dont know enough about plants yet to know what they do or dont 'feel' we know they react to stimulus and danger but we dont know if it means they are 'aware' or not

and like you said, what do they eat, well, they would probably not eat much and thats kinda the problem, we need food, i didnt ask for my body to need it but it does and i cant change it, and as i dont wanna die i have to eat something

Actually Trees and plants do have feelings, they can be tested to see if there are responses.

I have seen the questions, and similar questions, that you are referring to.

I don't see where anybody is "objecting" to your eating living things; that would be ridiculous. What they are clearly objecting to are the claims sometimes made by veg*ns that they do not eat "living things" or anything that was "once alive". As ridiculous as it sounds, veg*ns do sometimes claim that, and I'm sure the type of questions you refer to are merely challenging these false claims.

Nobody expects you to starve yourself, obviously. Also obvious is the fact that you are intentionally misinterpreting the meaning of these questions in order to make veg*ns appear persecuted, and to make non-vegetarians look stupid, which I'm sure was your main intent. That sort of behavior is MUCH more common here on yahoo answers than anybody "objecting" to your eating of living things.

    * Good to see you again too, tz. Although It would be nice if you'd freshen up your material a bit more often.

Exactly. Those people who make those idiotic accusations really need to get a life.

Not all living organisms have 'feelings'.
