Why is it called "Yahoo! Answers" and not "Yahoo! Questions"?

    There's more answers than questions. Plus, Yahoo! Questions and Answers is too long.

  • Two reasons I suppose:

    1. It's kind of like an advertisement. Nobody needs questions in their lives. They need answers to their questions. They have a question where do they go for answers? "Y! Questions"? I don't think so.

    2. The amount of answers greatly exceeds the amount of questions.

    and besides, "Yahoo! Questions and Answers" is much too long...

    It was called ''Questions and Answers'' some time back...if I'm not mistaken :p

    Because people come here looking for answers...not questions!

    Hey, I remember her!! 2008-2009 were my Y!A heydays, but all of the regulars from those days have gone. Or changed names and avatars and thus are unrecognizable to me.
