Didn't you just admire Sri Lanka's never say die approach to last nights 1st final at the Gabba?
Two teams worthy of competing in the final series and Sri Lanka never for one moment lost faith. I just love the way they back themselves and it makes for very entertaining cricket. I fully expect them to bounce back in Adelaide in game 2. Whats you thoughts on the final series so far?

They always have tried to be adventurous in their play. If I remember rightly, they were the first team to start attacking in the first 10-15 overs of an innings instead of waiting until the last 10-15 overs. I believe this was a major contribution to their world cup winning team of the mid 90s.

Superb effort from the Sri Lankans. With 164 needed from 16 overs and with just 4 wickets in hand, it looked like Sri Lanka would lose by 100+ runs but they never gave up hope. Kulasekera was just superb. He brought them really close. Tharanga played well at the position he isn't accustomed to play well. Damikka Prasad too did well to bring the Lankan really close.
Even I expect them to come back strongly in the next game. Australia and Sri Lanka have played 5 matches so far in this series and Lanka have won 3 out of them and came really close in the other 2.
So I won't be surprised to see Lanka win tomorrow!

Congratulations to both teams for their performances.Congrats Aussies for winning the 1st final. However, SL's fighting spirit has been amazing. With the absence of key allrounders, Angelo and Thisara still they nearly chased the score. Kulasekara stepped up and got the responsibility at the correct time. I think Kulasekera gave a lesson to their top order batsmen. How importance of keeping the wickets.
Adelaide is the future. Hope for an entertaining match like the first final.

When they needed more than 170 runs with only 4 wickets remaining, I thought they will lost by a margin of 150 runs but the way they batted after that was really impressive. Kudos to them. But I still think Australia will win this series 2-1.

It was once again a great fighting spirit shown by lanka..they fought hard & hard & took it till the last over which was unbelievable..however their top Order batsmen failed to carry the game forward which was the cause of the defeat....& sure they are expected to bounce Back 2mrw...

Even when they looked beaten they came back and nearly took the game. A great performance. Last nights game was why these two sides had to be in the finals.

I was very impressed by them of course, but more impressed by Lee & Hussey's bowling.Everyone wanted to write them both off not long ago but they sure performed last night while the younger bowlers were a bit of a disappointment.Watson was very economical as well.Altogether it was a great match.

Yeah, it was interesting to see them to take the game to the last over though they were on low when they were 6 wickets down. An exciting match it was.
