How to wash blue hair?

Hello there! I dyed the top layer of my hair dark blue (using Pravana Chroma Silk Vivids Blue) after bleaching it of course. The hair stylist at the salon is making me use Shimmer Lights shampoo because it's a purple shampoo and it should be good to use in my hair, but whenever I use it, the shampoo is literally tearing the color out of my hair and making it fade quicker. It doesn't look good when it's faded because I have darker skin (I'm Indian). Is there anything I can use that will protect my blue hair from fading so quickly? Should I add some of my hair dye to my conditioner so it doesn't fade as much?
