7x2=14.

14 + 5 = 19 - 2 = 17X

7x2 +5x -2

14 +5x -2

collect like terms

5x + 12

to factor even more > 5(x+2.4)

Simple I'm only assuming that you meant 7xsquared +5x - 2 = 0 ok?

Now There are many methods to factor "x-puzzle" "box method" "guess and test"

Okay now through x method it's different you can research these three methods however you have to factor this quadratic equation into two binomials

7x^2 + 5x - 2 ------------> (7x-2)(x+1) try using FOIL (First, Out, In, Last) you can research that ok?

That's about it try to memorize at least one of the methods i'd recommend the guess and test and x-puzzle

-5+- the square root of 5(5)-4(7)(-2) and then all of that over 2(7)

Then you have -5+-9 over 14

so X=2/7 and X=-1

7x2 + 5x - 2

7x(x+1)-2(x+1)
