This question is quite hard to answer. It depends on the path that you want to go towards with.
Here's some distinct features about rackets:
1. Larger head size - Gives the ball more spin and more power
2. Smaller head size - Better accurancy
1. Heavier rackets - Better handling but drains your energy faster
2. Lighter rackets - Higher potential to give the ball more power and more spin. Although extremely light rackets (those made out of plastic) breaks quite easily if you drop it.
Strings on the other hand can get complicated so I won't mention it here.
If you have no idea what kind of path you want to go with, than you should base your decision on the type of grip you're holding right now (continental grip, western grip, eastern grip, etc..) If your grip delivers a lot of top spins, go with heavier rackets and larger head size.
As for the price.... well I have bad news for you. I highly suggest you buy tennis rackets that costs around $200 because they're worth it. Cheaper rackets just breaks too easily. I'm using a Prestige head right now and I've been dropping it, hitting things with it, and it doesn't break.
Good luck!
P.S. and remember to work on your serves. They are VERY important.

I use head so this is what I will cite. I would recommend shopping online for a Microgel Extreme MP or Team. Team is super light and powerful. MP is better as you improve but not as naturally powerful since it's heavier. This is an older series (came out in 2009 I believe) so it will be used but good.
I used Extreme MP for several years and made it to Semi-Finals in a Polar Bear which is one of the biggest tournaments in the South.

Demo as many rackets as possible. I used Head back in the day but I tried a Wilson K Factor Four and love it. It is a mid size racket with some pop but I can control it (for the most part). Unfortunately it set me back around $200 but I bet if you shopped online you could get a better deal.
