Working on a cruise ship or as a flight attendent?

Can anyone tell me information about either?

I'm planning to get my BA (not sure in what)

and maybe take a year off to do either of the jobs( is that even a good idea?)

If I work of a cruise i definately don't want to be stuck in the "crew decks"

I'm bilingual and can speak Chinese

with a college degree and a second language what kind of job can I get on a cruise ship?

What about being an air hostess?

I'm not looking for money or anything, just time to do something and maybe save some money.

Because you have nearly no living expenses when you sign a cruiseline contract I hear

If you only plan on working a year as an F/A - don't bother. Right out of training, you will be flying Reserve and not making much money - seniority is the key

If you're part of the crew, your quarters will be on the crew deck. Employees are not housed on passenger decks.

You won't get a job on a cruise ship without at least 2 years of experience in the job you're applying for.

Dishwasher, Utility....and you will be stuck in the crew decks - this is where you live and spend your free time. When in passenger areas you are working.

A college degree and a second language is nothing special and you need a minimum of 2 years of work experience in the position you are applying for onboard a ship.

If you are working on the ship you will live in the crew decks. If you do not want to do this then you will probably be better working as a flight attendant.
