Would you date a girl who smokes 3 packs a day?

While I was taking a cigarette break at work today, me and some of the other girls in the office who are smoker were talking about how it seems like more and more guys are non-smokers or are even complaining about girls smoking "too much."

But How much smoking is "too much" for a date? If a girl only smokes a pack a day, surely thats not too much, right? But what about a heavier smoker like one and a half to two packs a day? That'd still leave alot of girls who smoke without dates. What about 3 packs a day? does that matter? Would you still date a girl who smokes 3 packs a day?

Inquiring minds (the girls who are smokers at the office) want to know. Thanks.

    The short answer is yes.

    3 reasons.

    1. I am a smoker. Although I only smoke 1 pack a day, I think it would be hypocritical judge someone who smokes, considering how much people criticize any smoker. Smokers have to stick together!

    2. I find smoking quite attractive in a girl. Noth that she needs to smoke 3 packs a day to attract me, but I don't mind.

    3. I don't believe in putting conditions on a relationship.

I take it that you are a very heavy smoker based on your descriptions. I, myself, smoke about 1.5 packs a day, sometimes it can be up to 2 on weekends and such. But it really is up to the people involved. Some people find any smoking at all to be a turn off, while others find smoking to be a turn on so it really is determined by the individual. As a smoker, I don't judge dating someone on whether or not they smoke but at the same time, I realize that I'm a "heavy" smoker so I do realize that it may be a factor to someone I'm interested in. It's one of those things that isnt necessarily a relationship breaker but it can definitely be a hot topic within a relationship.

Being a smoker myself, I am not going to say "Quit smoking" and give you the whole speech, but if you are smoking 3 packs a day, you should cut down for health reasons, but also if you are thinking that it is hurting your date-ability. Even cutting back to like 2 packs a day can be a huge difference with cutting down 33% of your cigarette intake but while also keeping your habit to whatever level you can stay at.

My wife is 64 and has been smoking since she was 11. I'm 36 and I don't smoke. We got married 8 months ago and she quit working to be a stay at home house wife. Once she stopped going to work, her smoking went from two packs a day to three packs a day. The reason I know its 3 packs a day is because I buy her cigarettes. She smokes More Menthol 120s and they cost $8.00 per pack. That's $24 dollars a day or $720 a month. That's as much as my house payment.

Do I mind? Hell no! I love it!!! I have a fetish for older women who smoke, so my wife is the girl of my dreams. Her hairs is gray. Her fingers are stained yellow with nicotine. Her teeth are brown. She has dragon breath. She smells like a chimney and she tastes like a charcoal grill. I'm in heaven!

Hard to say in general, three packs a day is alot. The girl Im crushing on right now smokes almost a pack a day and says she totally loves smoking and would smoke more if she could, so I guess if I was dating her and she was smoking three packs a day, I would just have to deal with it. Shes so pretty and cool though that even if she was smoking four packs a day I would still love her!

Well, most people think its rude to smoke on a date, some people find it very rude, other people dont care. Usually, two smokers dont care if the other does, but some find it inconsiderate. And, on a date, you should leave the smoking at home. Maybe you could ask them? Your date I mean. If its ok. To be honest, if I were a man, I wouldn't like a girl who smokes THREE packs a DAY, but I'm not a guy so...you know.

I used to be a smoker and I believe everyone is free to do what they please with themselves. Everyone, please respect smokers. It's THEIR choice to smoke just like it was mine to QUIT. Just had to get that out of the way because some people can be disrespectful. 3 packs a day is too much in MY book, though and I wouldn't date someone who smoked THAT much. Maybe several cigs a day.. I'm all for it but 3 packs WILL leave a strong smell that non-smokers who are sensitive will NOT tolerate

hell no!! i could honestly say i have smoked 10 cigarettes in my life time(and 5 of those cigarettes were smoked at a strip club). Im 22 years old, and many of my friends do not smoke either and find it very unattractive for girls to smoke. Not only does it give you a horrrible stench, it makes your skin wrinkly, causes bags under your eyes, makes your mouth disgusting to kiss, and you hair is always dry and ugly. I hate smokers and probably would not date a smoker. Luckily ive never had this dilemma all my ex GFs were non-smokers as well and i go to a smoke-free University campus.

Absolutely, I love women who smoke and want her to smoke as much as she felt she needed too. With a 3 pack a day smoker, you can be insured that she will always have fresh cigarette breath which will make kissing her a pleasure.

I personally just don't like dating smokers at all. I don't smoke, and I would just rather not date a smoker. I have in the past and it was too annoying waiting for them to finish their cigarette all the time.

Yes, I'd prefer that she smoke less, because she has way too much time if she can fit that into her schedule. But I smoke occasionally myself and if she's attractive and knows how to smoke then, why not. I second KS' post ;-)
