What kind of lizard is this?
So, I went to Florida(fort myers area) for vacation and found a lizard, I think he is a gecko, but I don't know what kind. I kept him in a tank and need to know what kind he is to know how to care for him ( unless they all require the same care) I cant get a picture of him because he is too fast, but he is light brown, like dead grass and he has two darker brown wavy stripes going down either side of his back. he is about 2-3 inches long with his tale and his tale takes up most of that. Right now I'm treating him like a leopard gecko, but I want to take care of him correctly.

It's probably an Anole. They come in various colors from green to brown and they are extremely common in that area.

MY question is - if you '...found him in Florida...' WHY on earth didn't you simply LEAVE him in his natural environment in Florida ! If I did that with any of our native reptiles here in the UK - I'd end up in PRISON !
