Verizon- Does it cost extra to get a new phone if your plan isn't up??

I have a cosmos slide that I've had for a year, and i have a 2 year plan and my phones already almost broke if i get a new phone at Verizon, or have a different phone does it cost extra to hook it up?

So if i bought a phone at walmart and hooked it up it wouldnt cost extra?

Hi.If you want to use a phone that you used previously then there is no activation fee because it has been activated once before. If you buy a new phone from Verizon directly or Walmart then activation fee may be involved.

If you already have a second verizon compatible phone it will be free to have them activate it. If your plan is not up and you want a new phone, it will probably cost full price. Sometimes they have a free phone, but its very very basic and usually sucks.

If you get another phone from verizon yes you won't get the free upgrade but if you have one lying around you can switch the service over for free
