What are Italians and Spanish people like?
My dad will be going to Afghanistan in a few months and will be staying on a Italian/Spanish military base. He wants me to find out about Italians and Spanish people and culture. So what are they like, what are they into, what can't you say or do around them?

They are surprisingly different. He will find their food very different.
He will find that their modern military are very serious and professional when working, but fun when off duty. There could be some good musicians on the base.

Italians are Italian.
Spaniards are Spanish.
They don't really get lumped together, as they have different cultures.
Don't say "tu madre" to the Spaniards...EVER. If you are asking about how their mother is, you use Mamá. Actually, that's more important with Mexicans, but it's better not to use the word with ANY Spanish speaker.

My moms Spanish, and my boyfriends moms Italian. So I know! They're cool. lol. I can't tell you how they'll be ! Personality has nothing to do with where you're from! Your dad will have to go figure your question out himself.

Im both spanish and italian and lived in both countries.
They're not as cold as people in north america, and they're very open people.
Definitely louder and more outgoing.
Clubbing is just as big there as it is here.
