I have a terrible trouble about virus in my USB flash? Please help me!!! ?

My transcend USB flash is 7.46 GB(capacity) Used space 7.38 GB. There are a lot of files in it. Yesterday, my friend borrowed me this flash. But when he gave me back, and I plug in my computer and scan for virus. I saw some virus but I didn't mind. When I opened, I saw only six files about 200MB. But when I check used space, it still 7.38GB. How about other files where they go? Is it caused by virus? How to solve this to get my lost files back?

Move the non infected files to your desktop by dragging them on to the desktop manually. Then format the flashdrive with the infected files which will delete all contents on the disk. The move the clean files back on it. Hope this helped.

your usb flash drive is a solid state chip not a real hard drive or "disk". And even something as simple as defragging a solid state drive can destroy the drive and render the whole thing useless. A virus can certainly damage the chip and cause permanent data loss and so can scanning with the wrong antivirus software. I don't know how or with what you scanned for viruses but you admit you "saw some virus but didn't mind" and that is why your data is gone. I would bet a hundred bucks it's gone for good and that flash drive is now trash. Sorry

You're not going to get those files back. Never let anyone borrow your flash drive because you don't know if their systems are infected with anything and people don't care about how they handle your stuff. You can scan your flash drive with your anti virus and get rid of the infected files but your files are gone.
