Is it REALLY worth finding out if women are better than men and vise versa?

You are absolutely correct my friend, and I absolutely agree with you. Arguing that question is so moot, seeing that we can't survive without one another. We both have our strengths and we both have our weaknesses. The outcome of that is we are both even. Men may be stronger and do the manual labor of building infastructure and hunting food, but women are also better caretakers and are more understanding, whereas men tend to be too aggressive. I think people want to find out which sex is "better" because it makes them feel "better" about themselves. Some people want to feel superior, so they try to prove to everyone else that their gender is the dominant one so they can affirm their belief that they truly are superior. Also, bad breakups or being cheated on could provoke these discussions, because they may feel that all men or women are like the person they experienced, so they want to feel better about themselves after what happened. We both keep ourselves in check so-to-speak, so no, there really is no reason to finding out which one is "better."

I am willing to bet that forum debate was planned by a woman. This question has never been asked by men only women. This question was settled 1000s of years ago. Men have been the dominant ones forever. Women have there place but for the most part men run the world not women. Woman does make me a good sammich. I love sammich.

Like you said-- they are equal. Both carry too much pride and both have imperfections. Men and women fight because people do judge others by their genders, races, religions, etc. so everyone naturally feels the compulsion to 'prove' to the others that they are superior. Of course, I've also found arguments about which one has it worse, and that is because people don't like it when someone who is better off than they are complain about how difficult life is. In general, people wish to be superior, and beginning worse off than prevailing as the 'victor' at the end proves even greater superiority. Also, the social structure of human beings is very, very complicated.

I think it is a greater debate between the lessor intellectual society groups. People naturally band together with the same culture, background, language, skin colour, religion and sex and generally oppose their opposite in a means of becoming dominant.

It's a con game really. First you convince the mark that God highly approves faith, i.e. unmerited belief, and especially blesses those who believe without seeing proof. They even write these words into Jesus' mouth, "blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed." They even go one better and tell you that faith is a gift God gives you, so of course if you don't have it that means God is ignoring you, and of course we want proof that God is and thinks we're special so we're motivated to show we've been given the gift of faith just to show we merit God's favor. And of course if you're raising money from the rubes, what better way to get them to invest in your bank account today than by telling them they will reap the reward of their investment after they die. The people you suckered never show up asking for their donations back.

All people want to feel special. So if they can categorize themselves into a "superior" sex, race, school, work, religion, weight, education level...etc, they feel somewhat special. It really doesn't matter and will never be true that one group is better than another. There are always exceptions.
