why wont any of my computers recognize my kindle fire?
Finally bought a USB cable today and whenever I plug the device into my laptop or desktop it doesn't seem to recognize it. All the kindle's saying is that it's charging! I wanted to put music and videos. help me, please?

In order for the computer to connect the the KF, you have to have it UNLOCKED and connected.
Don't bother letting windows find drivers for it, there aren't any.
But after a few seconds you SHOULD get the option to open the device and explore it like a thumb drive. The connection is buggy for some people...
