Lure picks for Large mouth bass at night?
I got a four pounder last night after sunset. I used a white chatter bait with a craw trailer. Any other options for this time of day would be appreciated ?

My "go to" lure at night is almost always a black, Colorado bladed spinnerbait. The Colorado blade gives off a ton of vibration and the black shows up very nicely in the dark water. A fairly close second for me are black jigs, equipped with a bulky chunk trailer and a rattle. I have caught countless fish on both of these at night.
As mentioned, you want to avoid bright colors at night; although, I know it only seems right to use bright, vivid colors at night. Blacks, black and blue combos, and darker smoke colors will actually show up better to fish at night.

No pun intended on time of day, right? Haha.
My personal favorite baits for night time fishing are mostly big, Texas rigged plastic worms in the 8-, 10- and 12-inch range, but heavy black or dark-colored rattling jigs with a big craw trailer work for me also, as do loud surface lures.

white is a bad choice for nigh time. visibility is low so black is better because all they see is the shadow. black looks like a bigger shadow
what you were relying on was the sound to provoke a strike which is good method to fishing low visibility. I always fish dark color noisy baits at night. rattle traps, buzz, spinners (indiana blade), and my Go To is the Rebel Jerk Bait in black/gold.

a popper, zara spook, skitter prop, or jitter bug. the bass can hear them and you can stop them for a bit so the bass can find the bait. If they are hitting harder you can do a slow steady retrieve that makes noise and wake that they can follow. Dark colors are better.
