Am I playing The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time out of order?
I'm stuck in the Gerudo Training Grounds place, so I looked up a tutorial. The guy was wearing a red tunic, had 50 arrows, flaming arrows, a third magic attack, and a hammer (which is what I need to get unstuck.) Why am I missing so many things, and is there another temple I have to do before I do the Spirit Temple? In order, I've done the Forest Temple and Water Temple, and I went into the Spirit Temple and got the silver gauntlets. Am I missing something huge, or what!? Oh, and I'm playing it on the Nintendo 64 emulator on my Wii.

Sounds like you skipped the Fire Temple. Go back to Goron City as adult link and stop the goron that is rolling around in a circle using a bomb. The megaton hammer is found in the Fire Temple and is needed to push down rusty switches.
