What kind of saddle blanket/pad do you use in the summer?

Do you avoid the thicker ones because of heat, or keep them on for comfort/padding/support? Do you use a thinner blanket like this? http://aberarmy.info/img.php?fl=f4k426v5d4s2r2f4s5...

I use the same pad winter and summer. It fits Oliver well and I don't want to change it. If he gets warm in the summer, he gets hosed off and cooled down properly. I'd much rather have something that fits and is comfortable than something light. The saddle pad doesn't make much difference as to how cool the horse stays. If you figure how big they are (how much hair they already have) and the area the saddle covers, it's not much.

I use a gel pad, so my saddle fits, and I work my horses pretty hard when I barrel race and when I do gaming. They don't mind the thicker ones, because then their backs don't get sore. Just always remember to spray them with a hose if they get super sweaty. They always enjoy a good roll after you hose them off.
