Here we go again, footy will not be available to most of the USA on telly. Any ideas for me here in Kansas?
The AFL announced today that Fox Soccer Plus has acquired the rights to the USA coverage for 3 years beginning immediately. Fox Soccer Plus is a subscription channel with additional coverage not on Fox Soccer. Typical fees are $14.99 a month. FSP is available to most DirecTV, DISH, FiOS, and AT&T U-verse customers. It is also available in selected Time Warner and Brighthouse cable markets but not all.
What this means is I can't see any footy in Kansas USA, not available on my cable system. This Yank will be back to radio calls only on afl.com.au, unless you all have a better idea or know of something else. This also includes ESPN3.com, no more footy online in the USA either.
Sorry, Kamootchi. All other previous answers over the last several years only apply to Australia. As you may have noticed, I am in the USA.
Sorry Bill P. I am not in Australia, I am in Kansas USA as my question advised.
Romper, can't get Big Pond here in the USA. I have tried before. Only good in Oz.

That sucks mate, can you get onto bigpond footy? or is that only available in Australia, the games are on 12 hours after they are finished, at least you could watch the footy if you can get that site.

Just follow the questions feed here in Aussie Rules section and you'll find that every second question relates to how you can watch AFL online... I haven't checked it out but so for all I know it could be just spam from trolls, worth a look though

Where are you in Kansas? If in a larger city or college town, like Manhattan, you could approach a local sports bar and ask if they will show it on a TV. Especially if they have a bunch of TV's and can show other sports at the same time. They might be more willing if you say you'll be bringing a group of friends and will explain the game. It might make for a fun event.

Every weekend there are posts here advising of streamed games whether they be AFL or not. No idea of costs but you and Toto may be able to watch it.
Optus (a mobile phone company) looks like they will be "televising" the games on thieir network. I don't know if this would be any help or not.
