If I do not finish the rest of my antibiotics, will my throat infection come back?
I was put on a ten day twice a day antibiotics due to a throat infection caused by my sinuses. I only have five days left of the antibiotics to take. The thing is, a few days ago I got the worst yeast infection that I have ever had. Its so bad that I can barely walk, I have lost my appetite, and I havent been sleeping good due to the pain and itchiness. I am also so swollen that I can hardly sit. (sorry if that was tmi) My doctor gave me yeast infection meds yesterday. I dont feel like they are working due to the antibiotics. :( I am in so much pain. Should I just stop taking the antibiotics? What is the chance that the throat infection will come back since I only have taken half of the pills?

Possibly.
The trouble is that any bacteria that would continue to survive and grow would have some immunity to the antibiotic you are now taking. You should finish the entire prescription. This will also protect you in any future uses of the antibiotic.
My unscientific guess is that the yeast infection is not related to the antibiotics. Ask your doctor.

Do not do not do NOT quit taking your antibiotics. If you do then the bacteria in your throat will come back even stronger and more resistant to antibiotics and will be way harder to get rid of, I repeat DO NOT STOP TAKING THEM. Plus, doctors get pretty pissed if you do that as well. Your yeast infection will go away, try taking another dose after the antibiotics are done, and some throughout. It may take until after you are done with the antibiotics, I was in this situation as well. It sucks I know, but just trust your doctor.

long course of antibiotics is to ensure that any sreptococcal bacteria from your throat infection that might possibly have gone to the rest of your body, are killed off. A major concern is that they may sit on the heart valves and cause rheumatic heart disease. Your throat infection won't come back, but you may get something worse.
Did you have actual pussy tonsilitis, or just a sore throat? If it was a mild laryngitis or post-nasal drip, you can probably stop the meds, as it's likely that they were given because... Well, some docs just give antibiotics. If there was pus or tonsilitis, then it's best to try stay on the antibiotics. You could use probiotic tablets as well as vaginal passaries and anti-fungal cream, and painkillers to round it off. But ultimately it is up to you. The vast majority of people with proven streptococcal throat infections do not go on to get heart disease, but taking a few days extra meds is also an easy way to prevent horrible condition.

You need to finish the course of antibiotics and give the yeast medication time to work. It's not going to work immediately. The antibiotics are not keeping the anti-fungal from working. Call your doctor to see if there is anything else they can recommend to help you with the symptoms. But you must finish your antibiotics.
Next time you are prescribed antibiotics, take some probiotics at the same time (like Culturelle). It might even help you to start taking something like that now. Ask your doctor or pharmacist for a recommendation.
