Do you ever wonder if there were openly gay people in Medieval Times?

Yeah, Homosexuality has existed since the beginning of time, there were probably gay people during the Medieval times, I heard in my history class that a man can marry up to 5 woman & still fool around with other "people" (applied to men & woman) but I doubt there were any openly gay people, if people didn't have freedom of speech back then, then I doubt they have freedom at all
