Stupid Question, but how do lesbians have 'safe sex'? 10 points?

I've been wondering about this for a while just cause because of curiosity.

But really, How do two women having sexual intercourse have safe sex? It's not like a guy where you wear a condom, and I don't imagine having a seran wrap barrier is very popular (joke).

Just honestly curious if it is possible for 2 women to have safe sex lol

    Safer sex for lesbians.

Use dental dams for oral sex, these can be hard to find and may require ordering on line, check drug stores or a local sex toy store as well. Or you could always cut a condom length wise if your in a pinch.

Latex gloves for digital penetration these can be found at any drug store.

Also use condoms on sex toys, make sure you don't share the same toy without sanitizing it first. This is one reason that condoms are easier. You can just remove the used condom and replace it with a new one.

Please do some research, google safer lesbian sex. The information I have listed is very basic and it would serve you well to really read and understand.

Though it may be true that lesbian sex is far less risky when it comes to HIV infection rates it is still possible to pass HIV and all other STD's

1 in every 5 adults has herpes, there is no cure for herpes.

I cannot believe the crap that I am reading tonight omg.. the only above answer that is even remotely close to being correct is what Brittany said right above me.

Yes lesbians do have sex. Yes it is REAL sex. Yes you should be having safe sex as well. What the person above me was talking about.. was the fact that there are couples who get tested before they start any sort of sexual relationship. Both partners need to be fully committed to one another, or else you are putting yourself and your partner at risk.

That being said, there are ways for lesbians to protect themselves against HIV and STD's because it is out there. Dental dams are one way, they can also come in different flavors. Not all lesbians use strap ons... most don't even like them.. but those that use strap ons during sex you can either put a condom over the strap on, or sterilize it after use.

No sex is absolutely safe sex. However, lesbian sex has the lowest possibility of sexually transmitted disease and obviously there are no pregnancy scares. The best thing is to always have yourself and your partner tested. The Gardasil vaccine for HPV is a smart thing to get as well. Have an open, honest relationship with your sexual partners. You are sleeping with everyone they have slept with.

Well lesbian sex is sort of like bumper cars... There's no insertion. It's like two pincushions smashing together over and over. I'm sure protection isn't needed.
