Commission quiz! What is the fair percentage for an independent rep?
I understand this topic is much more complex, but give me your best guesses. For an independent rep (no salary, no expenses paid), what is your opinion on approximate commissions for selling:
1. A Boeing 727 aircraft for $260million?
2. Veterinary hospital equipment valued at $200K on the average?
3. A human cremation system at 130K?
4. Office systems (cubicles or office machines) valued at 50K on the average?
5. Same office equipment as above, but a bulk order for $700,000?

Hi. I believe the standard range, for an independent rep, runs anywhere from 5%-15% of the wholesale price. It is also not unheard of to offer higher percentages to the better sellers either.
So based upon the percentage standards, and assuming figures given are wholesale prices:
1. $13,000,000 - $39,000,000
2. $10,000 - $30,000
3. $6,500 - $19,500
4. $2,500 - $7,500
5. $35,000 - $105,000
If you need to find 10% figures, either subtract high range figure from low range figure or double the low figure.
Hope that helps.
