30 years, since 1980, right...
The Internet, or more specifically the World-Wide Web.
The cellular phone
The VCR (1977 maybe)
The personal computer.
Cellphones let ordinary people communicate on the move, something that had been only available to radio amateurs and police, military etc
PCs were pretty useless for ordinary people before the Internet. It was probably quicker to write a letter by hand than boot one up to run a word-processor and run off a copy on a dot-matrix printer.
But now of course they let people print their own photographs, make their own music playlists etc.
The VCR let people watch movies at home, and record TV when they were out, so they no longer scheduled their life around TV programs.
The Web let ordinary people do document research that would have previously required a trip to a university library, and of course enabled online shopping, social networking etc.

30 years goes back to 1982...
You not only want a major achievement but you want that achievement to have had an impact on our lives...
Tough to do...
I guess I would say Moore's law...
How does that effect us today???
Well, 1,000 transistors on a chip and 18 months later 2,000 transistors is nice - but not revolutionary...
BUT, 1 billion transistors on a chip and 18 months later 2 billion - Well, what are you going to do with an extra BILLION transistors???
That is where we are today and that is why memory is cheap and cell phones are smart and iPhones, iPods, iPads, Digital TV, etc. are powerful, compact and cheap...
Second would be Robotic factories most people have never seen but they have changed your lives...
I went to see one once...
At one end - bins of raw materials and a the other end - finished product coming off the line and being packed automatically - with not one human on the floor...
Truly lights out...
The third one would be The Internet...
It is transforming almost everything...

Because communism is a demand economy, instead of a market economy, technological improvement would probably occur without market economy paranoid ludditism. Capitalism is deception about ownership of companies. There are all new companies, stores, restaurants, and banks every 4 years and an average employment duration of 1 year within false economics capitalism, (that is possibly a secret homelessness without health insurance death camp). Remaining solvent does not actually exist within false economics capitalism. Get rich quick schemes in the capitalist business world, (buyouts, IPOs, conglomerates, acquisitions, mergers, and the stock market), do not actually work. Profit existing in the capitalist business world, or millionaires existing within capitalism, is pathological deception committed by the 21 organizations spying on the population with plain clothes agents, (with covert fake names and fake backgrounds). Actual economics is the persons that are paying the business loans of companies voting at work in order to control the property they are paying for. The employees of companies are also paying the expenses of companies beyond the salary of the employees. Capitalism is the psychology of imaginary parents, false economics, and the criminal deception of employees that are paying the bills (including the stocks and bonds, or shares) of companies.
