Keep the bits from cooking the chicken, and the broth from the cooking veggies and make a gravy or a sauce with it. Should be yummy. A little roux, a few spices and your liquids[or some out of can or some of those little packages of condensed broth] and you should have something yummy.

Rivers made good old fried chicken and milk gravy a few weeks ago. Served with stuffing, which is way less calories than my mashed potatoes.

go to alrecipes.com, they had several good looking sauces. Here is one I've done before, it was good. Rivers would have chosen to use her dutch oven on top of the stove, same pot she browned the chicken in. Slow Cooker Chicken:

    Ingredients

1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup

    1 teaspoon dried minced onion

    1 teaspoon dried parsley

    1/4 cup white wine

    1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

    1 tablespoon milk

1 (4 ounce) can mushroom pieces, drained

    salt and pepper to taste

4 boneless, skinless chicken breast halves

    Directions

1.In a slow cooker, mix together the soup, onion, parsley, wine, garlic powder, milk, and mushroom pieces. Season with salt and pepper. Place chicken in the slow cooker, covering with the soup mixture.

2.Cook on Low setting for 5 to 6 hours, or on High setting for 3 to 4 hours

    Hi!

Butter give sauteed chicken a nice flavour. I usually will sautee it in butter and season the chicken with salt, pepper and garlic powder. Then just cover it and let it cook for about ten minutes on each side on a low-medium heat, if it's a chicken breast, until it's nicely browned.

Try some soya sauce to deglaze at the end of cooking.. be careful as it is very salty.

Lemon juice works well for deglazing with chicken too...
