Does Jordan Hill and Ramon Sessions improve the Lakers?

It was unfortunate to trade Derek Fisher, and his clutchness and leadership will clearly be missed. But the Lakers have upgraded the PG position significantly. Sessions is young, and knows how to run a team. He is a decent shooter, and he has quickness and can penetrate, and defend a lot of the quicker PGs. The Lakers are solid at that position with Sessions, Blake and Goudelock. I like Jordan Hill as a backup C and PF. He is definitely an upgrade over Murphy and McRoberts. He plays with energy, he can rebound, block shots, defend, can score down low and has a 15-foot jumper. I believe the Lakers are improved, and they are possibly legitimately back in contention.

Pretty much, Ramon Sessions provides what the pg lakers lacked which are quickness, speed, athleticism and young talent. With ramon session running the point, you can see more offensive production with the lakers since he's a pretty good passer (avg about 5.2 apg with 24.5 mpg with a mediocre team, imagine him passing the ball to bynum, gasol and kobe, his assists tally would skyrocket) and he's a good defender as well (you wont see point guards dropping 25 a night again with the lakers) As for J hill, he's a really good player of the bench, hell provide depth which the lakers lacked since trading LO.

I don't think Hill makes much of a difference, but Sessions helps the team so much. It gives them the true PG they've been needing and puts them right back to being contenders again. He's a solid player, an alright scorer, and a good passer, huge upgrade from Fisher (although I wish they would have traded Blake instead of him). So, the team improved a lot after the trades.

Lakers got better. It is sad to see Fisher go, but if you remember in 2006 he would complain after every game about not starting and not getting minutes in the 4th quarter. It made it hard for the coach to do his job and created rifts in the locker room. He would have complained about every minute he gave up, and would have made browns job harder.

Hill is a solid 10 minute 5 points 5 rebounds guy,

Currently the Lakers only have ONE back up for C and PF (McBob only plays once every 5 games)

Yeah J-hill and sessions are big improvements.

Fisher was on his way out and would have been a liability to the Lakers if he stayed much longer.

2 good pickups sessions a young good PG that can drive to the basket and shoot and jordan hill off the bench for bynum and gasol will give us some energy and explosiveness.

    Sessions, yes

Jordan Hill will have very little impact, but he is a good insurance policy if Bynum gets hurt.
