Best way to Paint a Rocking Chair?
I am planning to paint an old rocking chair, Around the seat and back, the wood is round, and therefor difficult to get a good looking finish. Do I need to use a brush`? Does anyone have experiance with using a sponge or anything else? I would like it to look vintage. Please share good ideas or links to websites.

First you will need to sand every bit of the rocking chair. If it already has paint on it, you will really need to sand it. Next you paint with the grain. You will need to you a thin brush to get in between the cracks. Don't put too much pain on the brush or it will look blotchy. Since you want it to look vintage you don't need to really get all of the places. After this, if you want more vintage you need to get something like a metal sponge and peal some of the paint off. Giving it more of a scratched worn look. DO NOT RE-SAND. If you do it will just look like you sanded it. Not old. I hope this helps!
