Skyrim: How do I improve Lock Picking skill when I have the Skeleton key ?
I managed to get the skeleton key on a quest by mistake. Yes it's awesome to have but I still want to improve my lock picking skills to add perks like Treasure Hunter and Golden Touch. What is the best way to still level up? Opening locks now doesn't do it.
Thanks for the answers. Michael, unfortunately you cannot give or remove quest items from you inventory. I returned it back to Twilight sepulcher.
Back to old school lock picking now!

If you store your key with your follower, (e.g. Lydia) then you won't be able to use it, so you'll have to lockpick.
