How old were you when you realized that your parents weren't like all of the other parents in the neighborhood?

When the other houses had color tv and push button phones.I realized then that we were poor.:( Not any more:)!!!!

Eleven.

When I went to High School and there was a Parents' Day - I realised that my parents, mother particularly was so much older than the other parents (she was 40 when I was born). It was obvious, too at Sports Day when there was a parents' race; a Mother in her 50's was no match for a Mother in her 30's

I've always known that, lol. My dad just sits around and either reads Playboy or he's outside working on a car. My mom tends to kick me off the computer to play Farmville.

Then they argue about the dumbest things, like who's seat is who's in the living room =_=

When I heard some words that I'd never heard before I think I was about 6....lol...No cussing in our house.

(Funny, my ex made a point of letting me know that he heard my dad say a bad word, when they were working together and the hammer slipped....lol) I'm like So? I mean he was a truck driver, I'm sure he knew all the words, he just didn't say them around us....

12. That was when my old man made me drive our car from Kearny NJ to Hackettstown NJ (on the Turnpike no less) because he stopped at a bar and had too much to drink.
