How come right after you work out you look ripped but it goes away 30 min later?

Like whas the point in working out if the muscles go back down? I take protein and everything? Is it supposed to show in the long term?

    Hey

Its because when you work out the blood pumps through your muscles and blows them up, also they fill up with water. Protein is used for muscle recovery only which in the long term will get you bigger muscles. Don't mistake that protein will give you instant muscle growth because it doesn't.

When you are lifting, all the blood goes towards those muscles and increased blood flow and you'll look "pumped" after, everything goes back to normal, but your muscle tears when you lift weights to build new muscle is there, just the blood flows back. Get 1 gram protein per pound of bodyweight.

Yes, but when you work out the blood flows to the muscles and it swells them up. 30 min later it goes back to normal. If you work out for a long time(not in one period) your muscles will grow

Working out increases blood flow, which makes your muscles appear that way. Be consistent and you will see permanent results.
