Best way to pick up frog in road?
At this time of year when I go for an early morning walk I sometimes see frogs just sitting in the road, the unsuspecting prey to any passing vehicle. What is the best way to coax a frog into a suitable container so that I can transport it to the safety of my back garden? Preferably without having to actually touch it?
These are just common-or-garden British frogs, by the way.

Put the container in front, and a board or other big thing behind it, scarier that the container. Otherwise it'll just hop sideways instead of forwards into the bucket. You'll need a lid but dont make it airtight. If you're only going over the road, use your board as a temporary lid.
And dont get yourself run over!

Get a food container and a lid. Then scoop the frog into the container using the lid and put the lid ontop(not shut but hold it there firm as the frog will jump around) and place it in a safe place(pond/bush)

well you could try a relaxed approach and say casually. . " do you come by here often"
but you said they are just common British frogs, so i'd probably say " get in the car you stupid frog. . you look like a toad in drag!"

I would pick with hands or with a branch but also you can pick with cardboard or carton.
Basically you can pick using anything what can let you to pick up. Frogs don't bites, they just a little wet.
