Greatest player that ever played the game?

No doubt that Michael Jordan is the greatest player that ever played in the NBA but is he the greatest player that ever played the game? There are plenty of basketball players who can't get a good break and NBA don't discover them. Take the case of Jeremy Lin (not sayin' that he is a great player)...

Update:

I am not comparing Jeremy Lin to MJ. I am asking if MJ is the greatest player that ever played the game...

There is plenty of doubt about who is the greatest player ever!

It is certainly not a over hyped shooting guard who only won championships in the weak expansion era of the 90's!

Wilt Chamberlain was a much better scorer than Jordan! He scored 4,024 point in 1 season! That's 1,000 more than Jordan's best year! He scored 100 in a game, averaged 50.4 for a season and averaged 40 pts a game for his first 9 seasons.

Wilt was also the greatest re-bounder ever, 24,000 career! Thats 2X as many a Rodman in 1 less year! He averaged 23 a game for his career, Jordan averaged 6!

Wilt was 1 of the greatest defenders ever and the greatest shot-blocker! He blocked 17 shots his first NBA game! He blocked 26 in 1 game! He is the unofficial all time leader in blocks, triple doubles and quadruple doubles!

Wilt led the league in assists, Jordan was never close!

No doubt Wilt Chamberlain is the greatest basketball player ever! In the NBA or any where!

Jeremy Lin needs to chill with the turnovers and win a championship before he is ever mentioned in the same phrase as the GOAT. For all we know he could turn out to be another poser like Vince Carter and drain down as the years go on.

Jeremy Lin compared MJ shouldn't be mentioned that's like disrespect to the GOAT.
