Is it normal not to be able to forget your first bf/gf for some time?

I started dating kinda late (well not really, but later than most), and i just had my first "boyfriend" (if you can call it that) 1 or 2 months ago. Long story short, we were friends first and then we dated and he doesn't know what he wants and handled it badly and turned out to be quite douchey. I told him off harshly and we're not friends anymore and all this ended a few weeks ago. I feel like it shouldn't be a big deal, because we were only together for a few weeks, and although i don't like him i still think about him a lot (seeing him at school doesn't help) and i wish things could have ended better, and i can't seem to get over it! Am i just a ridiculous person or do you think this is reasonable?

I went out with a guy for a few weeks, we broke up nd stopped tlking. That was 5 years ago and I still think about him. Or it might be a case of you'll move on and forget about him eventually. If he's your first bf, it will be different. Just have fun and don't worry!

It's normal. I was in the same situation not too long ago. Even though I knew the guy for a short time I still think about him but I'm doing well and I realized that I don't need him in my life. You will get over him, it just takes time.

some people do this for a year, 2 years, 3 years, it is not weird. You will get over it. Probably in a couple of months. Good luck.

You'll get over it in time, but you will always remember.
