Highlights, need help!?
I have dyed black hair and want to put highlights in it. What's the best way to do it on your own at home and have the color turn out correctly?
*please. serious answers only. thank you.
would it be a good idea to pull my hair through the cap, get a stripping kit and strip the color out then wash it out, dry it, and then bleach it?

You would have to bleach it first to get the black out because literally once you go black you never go back with hair lol so once you do that you should be able to apply the color you want to the bleached part of your hair where you want the highlights

If your doing highlights, then do only a couple of shades lighter. if you know some you can do foils for you, it would be super duper
