Do you know any alternatives to hair products?

Hello. I have already been using natural soaps for a while, and my skin is loving me for it. I have tried various "natural" shampoos and conditioners that they sell in organic markets, but they just give me dandruff. Do you know of any alternatives to your average hair care products? The only ones I know of are henna and coconut oil.

Update:

I should probably add that I wear head coverings. That may make a difference in the answers.

Update 2:

@Andrew - I actually live on an organic chicken farm and have access to a seemingly endless supply of eggs. So yeah, I will have to try using eggs. Thanks.

@Celest - You use that in what way exactly?

I use olive oil in my hair. I am biracial so I have afro-textured hair and my ends love it. When my hair is dry, sometimes I put a tiny amount in my hair in the shower when my hair is soaking wet and sometimes I do hot oil treatments using olive oil as well. I have also done the oil cleansing method to wash my face in the summer and it really worked but it was more time consuming to get hot water, steam my face etc. to wash the oil off.

Castor oil is also good for hair, as is grapeseed oil and jojoba oil. Honey makes a great natural conditioner (wash it out of course!). Coconut milk is also a good deep conditioner. Lemon is great for lightening the hair and both tea and coffee are good for adding richness to your hair's color. Even if you don't have "black hair", getting some tips from natural black hair care videos on youtube couldn't hurt! I have learned so much. My son has "white people hair" lol and I use a lot of black hair care tips on him and his hair is beautiful.

Castille soap makes a good, gentle shampoo when diluted in water. Baking soda and water made into a rinse is great for ridding your hair of extra product build up. There are plenty of homemade hair care and other beauty recipes on these websites below that are worth checking out.

Raw eggs are very good for the hair. They work way better then shampoo. Of cause use all natural farm eggs. People in US would laugh about it, but not in other countries. When you don't have all that synthetic shampoos around henna, coconut oil and eggs do the work.

Also some type of clay and mud minerals very helpful. But I don't have info which one, so you will have to research on that. Sorry...
