What are your views on GMO?

I do not agree what the government & corporate agencies are doing. GM ingredients in food are rarely, if ever, identified on the label. GMO opponents advocate a labeling requirement so that consumers can decide for themselves whether to consume GMO products.

GMOs are microorganisms, plants and animals that have had their genes altered to produce a desired effect that is meant to benefit people in some way. Usually they are modified either to further scientific research or to alter the food supply. Common genetic modifications include:

•Cloning of both animals and plants

•Injecting growth hormones in animals

•Adding antibacterial genes to plants

•Introducing genes that make organisms bigger or hardier

•Making new foods by mixing genes from existing ones

Animal genes are sometimes added to plants, and vice versa.

I think there are Pros & Cons to this biotechnology & I believe in time the GMO crops will become susceptible to new strands of pests ,thus limiting there ability the

    If it's a plant or something, like for example I know in Japan, they grow square watermelons because they're easier to stack, and if they do it non chemically, I guess I don't have a problem with it, but when they do it to a conscious I think it's kind of messed up.
