When is George Zimmerman going to be arrested?

Amen, at last a voice of sense and reason. Yes, if a black man shot a white teenager in the same set of circumstances in the same place, he would be either in custody or on police bail right now, no question.

Zimmerman will eventually be arrested because the black community won't rest until he is and the FBI are gonna have to look in to it whether they want to or not, otherwise there'll be trouble. After the Black Panther bounty Zimmerman might find it in his own interest to surrender to a police station and ask to be detained

Trevon was not killed because he was wearing a hoodie. He was killed because he assaulted Zimmerman. There had been many crimes committed in his neighborhood so as part of a neighborhood watch he was following suspected criminals through his neighborhood to let them know they were being watched. Ask yourself this question, who wears a hooded sweatshirt in Florida late at night, walking through a neighborhood that he did not belong? Zimmerman knew this because he knew his neighbors and Trevon was not a neighbor. Following is a good deterrent to crime. I guess they could not afford thousands of cameras put up through the neighborhood. Mr. Zimmerman had called 911, 98 times in the past year and reported what he was seeing for the police to follow up. Now, ask yourself when was the last time you were stopped by the police late at night and asked where you were going? Oh, officer just out going to the store for skiddles? Everyone had to know that you ran the gauntlet when you walked through this neighborhood at night if you did not belong. Is it any different if you walk say through the "hood" with the wrong colors? If you did not belong to the gang that controlled that neighborhood. So in the state of Florida which has the most widely accepted carry and conceal permits which are recognized in most states, also has a "stand your ground" clause. This means if you are confronted or assaulted you are not obligated to flee or run. You can simply stand and defend yourself. Now he was following Trevon who did not like the idea he was being followed, so he turned and walked toward Mr. Zimmerman. Why didn't Trevon keep walking, it was not his neighborhood? He was the interloper and I bet he didn't like outsiders in his neighborhood either. So he confronts Mr. Zimmerman, with a punch to the face. Mr. Zimmerman felt threatened, stood his ground and gave appropriated response to a threat upon his life, or serious bodily injury. In most states if you carry and conceal (permitted) you must back away and attempt to leave unless you feel you are in serious jeopardy of death or seriously personal injury. In Florida it is not required, you can "stand your ground". Also, most carry and conceal permits have mitigating circumstances clauses based on age. This means if you feel you can not adequately defend yourself without a weapon because you are weaker then your opponent then you may use deadly force. Most youths wear "thug" clothing to intimidate, they do this because they people to fear them. Well, in this case he achieved his goal. To me a 54 year old man, the media, music, movies and news reports have taught me that a black youth, at night wearing a hoodie is to be feared. So the same media who is responsible for promulgating this stereotype is not willing to take some responsibility, or are they afraid someone will point the finger at them. So what do they do, they get on the offense and point fingers, because we all know from the NFL that a good "offense is the best defense". Sadly, the black community will defend Trevons actions as innocent and say he was killed because he wore a hoodie. Look deeper and you will agree with me and say he was a victim, not from Mr. Zimmerman, who himself is a victim, but both victims of our media and the stereotypes they promote. Who are these media types, well those who make money from convincing kids that being a gangsta is cool. How many rap stars dress like thugs, encourage violence, cop killing, gang activity and so forth. Millions if not billions of dollars are made from their videos and records and clothing lines. Mr. Zimmerman, just defending his neighborhood and himself. Trevon just following his idols. In all of this who is going to make out, it will be the real thugs, because now everyone will be afraid to call them for what they are. They are thugs, trying to hide their identities with hoodies so they can continue doing their evil deeds. They love it, the fear from good citizens to profile because someone is wearing a hoodie, dark glasses in a place they do not belong at a time of night they should be home. Do your homework and find the facts before you listen to the media, hook, line and sinker. Call the FCC and complain about the local stations who sensationalized this and took the facts totaly out of context and tried to make a racial issue out of it, just to get ratings and sell advertizing. The FCC can pull their license.

You do realize that Trayvon Martin ( 6' 3 ) was actually much larger than Zimmerman ( 5' 9 ).. right?
