Since your neighbor has a suspended drivers license, he "technically" is not legal to drive,,,,,,,period.

Unknown about auto insurance, since if he does not have a valid drivers license, the only insurance he should get would be comprehensive, which would cover for theft or damage to the car while it is PARKED.

Also, should be aware that "some" companies will not pay any claims if the driver has a suspended license, so in effect if in an accident, he would be considered uninsured.

Why not have the neighbor try and get his license reinstated 1st, so should have no problem.

    good luck

Insurance companies need to validate the driver's license. It will not be considered valid with the ongoing suspension. Let the case be settled first.

The DMV in Arkansas does not specifically note that Drivers with suspended licences can not get auto insurance. You may want to refer to the specific auto insurance he inquired with to get your answer.

Try places like your bank as i got a very good quote from my bank. When i tried the comparison sites i found them all to be higher as companies pay to be put on them. The best thing would be look on the comparison sites then try the ones that don't show on them, Direct line don't go on these but that doesn't mean that they will be right for you. Sorry i could not be more help full but we all go through this good luck.
