NEED HELP! I need to know if this is a good deal!!?
So this guy is selling a 1994 Toyota Supra Twin Turbo Mark IV for $16 and its had a lot of extra's that come with it which is cool and the best part is theres on 30k miles on it! But heres the catch i noticed he said its has a JDM 2JZ-GTE motor with JDM 5 speed transmissions R154 so it looks like he did an engine swap from a 6-speed down to a five speed. He said that it needs a usdm engine harness and a custom downpipe which sounds like his swap didnt hold up too good but then again i might not even know what im talking about lol. I'm not very good with cars so i ask for your opinions and your help on whether or not this is a safe buy or even a good buy..Please help!! Thank you
lol i ment $16k

Regardless of the price, I'd stay away. With that much aftermarket work done to the car, something big is bound to go wrong quickly. With a custom tranny, exhaust, engine, etc. this car was modified for speed. This means it was probably driven hard. If you're not good with cars and don't want to make fixing a custom car your new hobby, I'd look at other cars.

1. Never buy a car that "needs this" or "needs that".
If the parts needed were easy to find or cheap, the guy would have already put them on.
2. never buy a car with a turbo or turbos, unless it's a NEW car.
They're usually thrashed or well worn.

Regardless that you are not completely sure about the technical changes etc. Go with your gut feelings that's telling you no.

Are you sure about that price? I think you could get more than that if you sold it for scrap metal.
