How much is the MEDIA to blame for the vigilantism that is happening as a result of Trayvon Martin's death?

By the news articles and opinions they publish SLANTED toward making a rush to judgment before all the facts are fully known, by publishing pictures of the victim smiling and the perpetrator with a 'mug shot', and by calling the shooter 'white' instead of mixed race or Hispanic decent? Would not justice be better served if we all waited until the investigations are complete? Things ARE NOT always as they initially seem...

I agree that they media is 100% slanting this and trying to create a new story.

Our laws are not based on Pubic option they are based on evidence and the rule of Law.

Walking in down the street with a hoodie on is not a crime regardless of what your past is.

Walking up to someone and asking why they are doing and why they are there ( even if you are over zealous about it ) is not a crime.

being young does not equal bing Innocent. b Many 17 years olds have been tried as an adult for unspeakable crimes. and they too have sweet smiling photo somewhere at their moms house.

Being Over zealous and even saying something racial does not equal guilt. Because we do not

Let me repeat that we DO NOT know what happened from the last 911 phone call and when the gun went off. It is what happened between those moments that determine guilt.

Zimmerman had a bloody lip and the back of his skull had ben smash on the pavement. This means some kind of altercations took place and that Trayvon was physical with Zimmerman at some point.

The case rests on the altercation how it happened who did what -- the fact punches were thrown by both men mean NO ONE WAS and INNOCENT victim in this matter. It is how that unfolded that will say who is guilty NOT public opinion and the two men's past.

We do not know what happened, that info has not been released.

INNOCENT until PROVEN guilty is the fundamental part of our Freedom. The case is being investigated and a hearing set for april 10. That is enough for me. the rest of this stuff going on is crap and sensationalism. and it is sickening.

What vigilantism has resulted from the Trayvon Martin case. I'm not trying to be facetious, I just have not heard of anything of the sort resulting from the media spectacle revolving around this incident. I personally believe, as it appears you do also, that all of the facts must come to light before judgment is cast (that does not mean that I believe Zimmerman acted in self-defense or that he is guilty of murder, I simply think the system is there for a reason and we need to let it take its course).

100% I'm pretty sure without the media I would never have heard of the incident in the first place.

The media is being used a weapon.

All this speculation just causes distortion of the facts.
