If you are familiar with the Mayan Calendar, what is coming 12/21/2012? 267 days from now?
What did the Mayan elder mean when he said: "Those who cannot adopt the new resonance of time will die of fear, and those who can will survive?
How is it one can be so certain of that which has not occurred? Is this denial?
266 days from today.
What does "resonance" refer to?
Is there a connection between mysticism and the four Ages of Man and what is coming December 21, 2012? the "resonance" question? 265 days left.
If we place on a higher importance the fact the Soul is permanent, and Man upon the Earth is a play, and the Mayan predicted the return of Spirirual diety, and the alignment of the planets, does this offer us hope for some, and dread for others?

in my opinion people will understand what fear is while others say it's a new spiritual awakening to what some may call a "New World Order".

You know what they show whenever someone reffers to all this 2012 stuff? they show a big stone wheel with a symetrical pattern on each side with an ugly face in the middle poking it's tongue out. there has been NO television program or diagram explaining how this thing is a calendar, nobody has offered any legitimate proof of any game-changing or apocalyptic event in 2012... they've shown us a stone thing poking it's tongue out.
where im from, that kind of thing says "Gotcha".
I think i'd be inclined to drop my skepticism a little more were it not for the sheer weight of weird stuff people have said for HOW the world is going to end... Like that planet X is going to crash into us. Planet X that doesn't exist, planet X that was conceived by a low brow science fiction writer... but then those people seem to cause the modern idiot SO much trouble, if you know what I mean.
and let's see... several people have made connections between a 2012 apocalypse and the lost city of atlantis. a few people have said mycrowaves from the sun solidifying the planets core, a few have said a gamma radiation urst from a star a hundred lightyears away...
Seriously, if something like 2012 doomsday wants any credability, it's got to kick out all the people making these ludacris sci-fi ideas and yell "STOP THAT!" before any more easily lead teenagers actually start believing it.
know whats going to happen on that date? Rioting, random acts of stupidity because people think it's a last day and we KNOW it will happen because, newsflash, large groups of people are idiots, which has been proven time and time againa dn yet again, these groups of people are going to pick a date, one small thing will happen and BANG, they'll make the rest of mankind look bad.
The ones that don't are just being set up for dissapointment because nothing's changed.

The Mayan calendar is not based on the same system as our calendar, just like the old Jewish and Chinese lunar calendars are also on different systems.
The Mayan calendar tracks a star as it travels around the sky in a very large cycle that takes 10,000 of our years. The current cycle is due to end on our 12/21/2012. On 12/22/2012, a new cycle begins.
That's it.
No end of the world. No disasters.
As for that quote, it basically means "Adapt or die."

the end of the world is b.s., people believed that the mayans knew the date of the end of the world because they're calendar ended on that date, that it "run out". however they never said the calendar would run out, they said the cycle would restart. their calender works like 3 gears, one inside another, and when we reach 12/21/12 the gears start again from where they first started and the environment would change. BUT the mayans didn't know about the existence of LEAP YEARS!!! so if theyre prediction were correct, we would have died MONTHS ago! as for the changes, they said the seas would turn black and they would rise and the earth would become bare. which is true if you think about it, the sea did turn black (oil spills), it did rise (global warming), and the earth is bare (deforestation). so its not really a myth, all this crap about the earth ending is pessimistic, Hollywood, psychobabble.

People who are too ignorant to see the possibility of the up coming disaster, and totally failed to build a stockpile of food, water, ammo, , firearms, tools, and other important things.
71% of the people JUST in the US are already stockpiled and ready for what is soon to come.
In the late 1800's a solar flair also called a Coronal Mass Ejection burnt out thousands of miles of telegraph lines. Now for a moment think of all the power lines, phone line, and cable lines hanging from polls. This year alone we have already had 4 or 5 solar flairs, but they were small compared to the one in the late 1800's.

The Mayans insist that nothing will happen. Its a calender roll over.
I would believe the people that invented the calendar not those from outside their culture.

the world wont end because the mayans didnt know about leap years so it would have ended about a year ago
